1000g Granny Smith Apples
500g Water (Variable)
100g Sugar (variable)
- Peel, De seed and slice apples, place in large pot with sugar and water. Water should be just below covering apples.
- boil till apples soft, mash with potato masher, taste to see if sweet enough. if not add additional sugar from group 2.
- Mix together Arrowroot and water, add to apple mixture and stir in till thickened.
HELPFUL TIP* – I like to drain my apples a bit before mashing, also add arrowroot in slowly as the liquid may vary and consistancy will be slightly different each time.
