Classic Pound Cake


250g        Flour

250g         Sugar

250g         Egg

250g         Butter

Optional: 250g mixed fruit soaked overnight and well drained coated lightly in flour before adding to mixture.


  1. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy
  2. Add eggs slowly and cream after each addition
  3. when all eggs are creamed fully add sieved flour and carefully fold in
  4. deposit into cake tin and bake at 175 degrees until baked through.
